The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of the District Secretary of Nuwara Eliya, Thushari Thennakoon. The event has been organized in line with the annual Nuwara Eliya Spring Festival, which attracts both local and international visitors each year.
Among those present at the occasion were the Deputy Mayor of the Nuwara Eliya Municipal Council, Sivanajothi Yogarajah, along with members of the municipal council. The Assistant Commissioner of Local Government, the Municipal Commissioner, as well as other officials and staff of the Nuwara Eliya Municipal Council, also attended the event.
The “April Blooms” exhibition is one of the key highlights of the spring festival, showcasing a vibrant array of seasonal flowers and landscaping displays, contributing to the festive atmosphere of the city.
