CPC Chairman D. J. Rajakaruna stated that with this move, the previously assigned fuel quota system will also come back into effect.
The QR system had been temporarily relaxed from April 11 to allow petrol vehicle owners to obtain fuel without quota restrictions during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year festive period.
However, authorities confirmed that the odd-even fuel distribution system will continue to remain in operation alongside the reinstated QR method.
