Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), Janaka Rajakaruna, announced that 12 refined fuel shipments are scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka the month of April, ensuring a steady supply to meet the country’s energy demands.

He emphasized that fuel reserves in the country remain stable, with no expected shortages. According to the Chairman, all ordered fuel shipments are on track to arrive as per the planned schedule.

Meanwhile, Mr. Rajakaruna also stated that from midnight today (11th) until April 18, fuel distribution for petrol vehicles will be carried out without requiring the QR code system.

This temporary relaxation is expected to ease access for motorists during the specified period.

However, he clarified that there will be no changes to the existing odd-even fuel distribution system, which will continue to operate as usual.
