The IMF team arrived in the country on March 26 to carry out the review process.
The mission aims to evaluate the progress of Sri Lanka’s economic reform program and determine the next steps regarding continued financial assistance.
Upon successful completion of the reviews, recommendations will be submitted to the IMF’s Executive Board for the release of the next tranche of the credit facility.
Meanwhile, Anura Kumara Dissanayake said in Parliament that the fifth and sixth staff-level agreements with the IMF are expected to be signed today.
