One male suspect and seven women were arrested by the Seeduwa Police during a raid on a brothel being operated under the guise of a massage parlor.
The operation was conducted by a team from the Seeduwa Police Station. The manager of the establishment and seven women, who were present for sex work, were taken into custody.
The manager is a 46-year-old male resident of the Batapola area. The seven women, aged between 22 and 39, are residents of Kadana, Gampaha, Ginigathena, Matale, Kurunegala, Badulla, and Nawalapitiya.
The Seeduwa Police are continuing investigations into the matter.
