The island-wide strike launched by the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has been temporarily called off, restoring healthcare services across the country.

The GMOA announced that the decision was taken following discussions with government officials, allowing time for further negotiations on key concerns. Hospitals and clinics are expected to resume normal operations immediately.

The association noted that while services have resumed, future trade union action remains possible if their issues are not satisfactorily resolved.
