According to the revised pricing, the cost of a 12.5 kg cylinder has been raised by Rs. 775, bringing the new price to Rs. 4,765.
Meanwhile, the price of a 5 kg cylinder has increased by Rs. 308 to Rs. 1,910, and the 2.3 kg cylinder has gone up by Rs. 140, now costing Rs. 890.
The price hike is expected to impact household expenses across the country, as LP gas remains a primary cooking fuel for many Sri Lankan families.
Further details regarding the reasons for the increase have not yet been officially disclosed.
