Police Headquarters reported that 906 suspects were arrested across the island yesterday, April 4, during a special anti-drug prevention program conducted under the "Ratama Ekata" (Country Together) initiative.

Following the initial arrests, authorities confirmed that 15 of these suspects are currently being held under detention orders for further interrogation.

The comprehensive operation resulted in the detection of various narcotics, including 307 raids related to heroin and 337 raids involving "Ice" (Crystal Meth). Additionally, officers seized 198 grams of cannabis and conducted 66 other raids targeting illegal contraband such as psychotropic pills, Kush, and Hashish.

This island-wide crackdown was launched under the direct instructions of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) with a multifaceted approach to eradicating the drug menace. The operation aims to disrupt the drug supply chain, minimize local demand, and expand active field operations to curb distribution networks.
