Addressing the congregation, the Archbishop emphasized that humanity is enduring widespread suffering due to the desire for power and control. He called on the faithful to pray for a परिवर्तन of heart in those responsible, urging them to turn away from destructive paths.
Cardinal Ranjith also highlighted that Christianity is not limited to prayer or reading passages from the Holy Bible. Instead, he stressed that true Christian faith is about living a life rooted in love, humility, and service to others.
“Christianity is about love and living that love through action,” he said. “It is about becoming a servant, being sincere before God, and being just towards one’s neighbor.”
He further noted that true leadership should reflect service, not authority or domination. Criticizing modern global leadership, he remarked that many leaders today prioritize power over service, straying from the fundamental values of compassion and responsibility.
The Archbishop concluded by urging believers to embody the true spirit of their faith and to continue praying for peace during these challenging times.
