A vessel carrying 7,000 metric tons of liquefied petroleum (LP) gas has arrived at the Hambantota Port, according to Laugfs Gas. The company’s CEO, Nalinda Kurukulasuriya, stated that distribution of the newly received stock is set to begin on April 7.

The shipment is expected to support domestic demand and help stabilize supply in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Litro Gas Lanka announced that an additional shipment of 33,000 metric tons of LP gas is scheduled to arrive on April 25. This stock is intended to meet the country’s requirements for the month of May.

With both companies securing substantial consignments, authorities and suppliers aim to ensure an uninterrupted supply of LP gas across the island.
