The ongoing dry weather conditions affecting the island have led to continued water supply interruptions in several areas of the Colombo District today.

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced yesterday (April 3) that, after considering consumer needs, it has reduced the duration of planned water cuts from 24 hours to 18 hours.

According to the revised schedule, water supply to affected areas will be restricted intermittently until April 10.

Areas experiencing these planned water cuts include Padukka, Homagama, Pelanwatta, and Pannipitiya, among others.

The NWSDB stated that these measures are being implemented to manage limited water resources efficiently during the prevailing dry conditions.
