Police have arrested 147 foreign nationals in connection with an alleged online financial fraud operation in Iranawila, Chilaw.
The suspects were taken into custody during a raid carried out at a hotel where they had been staying, according to police sources.
Among those arrested are 133 Chinese nationals, 13 Bangladeshi nationals, and one Vietnamese national.
