A 24-hour water cut will be imposed in several areas due to reduced water levels at the Labugama–Kalatuwawa reservoirs, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced.

Residents in Padukka will face a water cut from 8:00 p.m. on April 2 until 8:00 p.m. on April 3, followed by four days of continuous supply before another cut on April 7. Homagama will experience a 24-hour disruption from 8:00 p.m. on April 3 to 8:00 p.m. on April 4, with regular supply restored for the next four days.

Meanwhile, Pelanwatta will undergo a water cut from 8:00 p.m. on April 4 to 8:00 p.m. on April 5, after which supply will resume for four days, with further interruptions expected from April 9.

The NWSDB attributed the scheduled cuts to limited water production caused by low reservoir levels.
