The operation, carried out yesterday (31), targeted a locally operated multi-day fishing vessel believed to be carrying a consignment of illegal drugs. Naval personnel intercepted the vessel in international waters and took all six suspects into custody.
The fishing vessel, along with the apprehended individuals, is currently being escorted to shore for further investigation. Authorities have stated that more details will be revealed following preliminary inquiries.
