The bus, which was en route to Kataragama, was engulfed in flames while approaching the Welipenna area. At the time of the incident, several passengers were onboard.
Fortunately, all passengers were safely evacuated before the fire could spread further. No injuries have been reported so far.
Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the fire.
