Winds will be north-easterly or variable in direction. Wind speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to 40 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
State of Sea:
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be moderate at times. The other sea areas around the island will be slight.
