Marking a major advancement in Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector, a state-of-the-art 4D Angio CT suite and a modern dental health unit were officially inaugurated today at Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital.

The project, funded with over Rs. 1,000 million in financial assistance from the Government of Japan, introduces cutting-edge medical technology to the country. The newly installed 4D Angio CT system is the first of its kind not only in Sri Lanka but also within the South Asian region’s hospital sector.

This advanced imaging system is expected to significantly enhance the diagnosis and treatment of complex medical conditions, particularly in cardiology and neurology, by providing highly detailed, real-time imaging capabilities.

In addition to this milestone, the hospital also unveiled a fully equipped dental health unit featuring 10 modern dental chairs. The new facility is set to improve access to high-quality and efficient dental care services for patients.

Hospital officials stated that these developments will strengthen the hospital’s capacity to deliver faster, more accurate, and patient-centered healthcare services, setting a new benchmark for medical innovation in Sri Lanka.
