Applications open for 2026 GCE Advanced Level Examination

The Ministry of Education has announced that applications for the 2026 General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level Examination will be accepted from today (March 24) until April 24 through an online system.

Accordingly, all applicants are required to visit the official websites, www.doenets.lk⁠� and www.onlineexams.gov.lk/eic⁠�, and submit their applications accurately by following the provided instructions.

Students from government and government-approved private schools must submit their applications through their respective school principals. Meanwhile, private candidates are required to apply individually using their National Identity Card (NIC) number.

School principals are instructed to use the usernames and passwords issued to them to submit applications on behalf of their students. After submission, it is essential to obtain and safely keep a printed copy of the application for future reference.

The Ministry further emphasized that the deadline for application submission will not be extended. Therefore, all candidates are strongly advised to complete their applications within the given timeframe.
