Sinopec has announced a significant revision in fuel prices, effective from midnight today (March 22).

According to the latest update, the price of 95 Octane Petrol has been increased by Rs. 122, bringing the new retail price to Rs. 487 per litre. Meanwhile, Super Diesel has recorded a steep hike of Rs. 219, with the new price set at Rs. 572 per litre.

In contrast, prices of 92 Octane Petrol and Auto Diesel will remain unchanged, aligning with the recently revised rates set by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC). Accordingly, 92 Octane Petrol will continue to be sold at Rs. 398 per litre, while Auto Diesel remains at Rs. 382 per litre.

The price adjustment is expected to impact transportation costs and overall market prices, particularly affecting sectors reliant on high-grade fuel such as logistics and private transportation.
