Fuel quotas increased under QR system from tonight (21)

The fuel quota issued under Sri Lanka’s QR code system has been increased with effect from tonight (21), according to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.

Under the revised allocation:

Cars: Increased from 15 liters to 25 liters per week

Three-wheelers: Increased from 15 liters to 20 liters

Vans: Increased from 40 liters to 50 liters

Lorries: Remain unchanged at 200 liters

Motorcycles: Increased from 5 liters to 8 liters

Buses: Increased from 60 liters to 100 liters

Quad cycles: Increased from 5 liters to 8 liters

Special purpose vehicles: Remain unchanged at 40 liters

Land vehicles (category unspecified): Increased from 25 liters to 40 liters

Authorities state that the revision aims to ease fuel access for the public and support transportation needs across the country.
