The matter was discussed during a meeting between the Sri Lanka Vehicle Importers’ Association and the Minister. According to the association, immediate action was taken by the Minister to resolve the issue.
As part of the solution, the Minister announced that a QR code system will be introduced for such vehicles. Until the system is fully implemented, a special interim program will be put in place to facilitate the transportation process.
