Sri Lanka’s Minister Kumara Jayakody has taken steps to address a fuel-related issue affecting the transportation of imported vehicles from the Hambantota Port to their owners’ residences.
The matter was discussed during a meeting between the Sri Lanka Vehicle Importers’ Association and the Minister. According to the association, immediate action was taken by the Minister to resolve the issue.
As part of the solution, the Minister announced that a QR code system will be introduced for such vehicles. Until the system is fully implemented, a special interim program will be put in place to facilitate the transportation process.
