According to Superintendent Asanka Samarasinghe, trains that are typically scheduled for Wednesdays will run according to the timetable normally used on Saturdays.
This adjustment ensures the continuation of rail transport services for commuters, despite any scheduling changes. Passengers are advised to check the Saturday timetable in advance and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
Sri Lanka Railways further noted that all major routes and office trains will remain operational under this revised schedule.
