According to the announcement, re-entry visas that expired or are due to expire between February 28 and April 21, 2026, will be automatically extended until April 30, 2026. Workers are not required to submit separate applications to obtain this extension.
The updated visa validity will be reflected in the system of the Israel Population and Immigration Authority. During this extended period, affected workers will be permitted to re-enter Israel through its border checkpoints.
The move is expected to provide relief to Sri Lankan migrant workers who had traveled abroad for leave or other personal matters and were concerned about visa expirations.
