The Ministry of Education (MOE) has announced a series of measures aimed at ensuring the continuity of school education while addressing ongoing energy constraints.

According to the new directive, all government schools will operate only four days a week, with Wednesdays designated as holidays until further notice. To prevent disruptions to academic progress, students will be assigned home-based learning tasks on these days.

School administrations have been instructed to prioritize syllabus completion and limit non-essential activities. External events, including trips, parades, and other fuel-intensive programs, have been temporarily suspended as part of the effort to reduce energy consumption.

The Ministry has called on principals, teachers, students, and parents to cooperate fully with the new arrangements to help sustain the education system during this period.

Officials stated that further updates will be issued depending on developments in the fuel situation.
