The current contract is set to expire on 31 March 2026. Following a proposal from the sole service provider at the airport, the Board, acting on a recommendation from the High-Level Standing Procurement Committee, approved awarding the contract to Maldives Airport Company Limited.
The new agreement will run for three years, from 1 April 2026, at a total value of US$ 16.19 million.
The contract ensures continued ground handling support for SriLankan Airlines aircraft at Male Airport, maintaining operational efficiency and service standards.
