Speaking at a press conference in Colombo, Udaya Gammanpila stated that the Easter attacks have been used for political advantage over the past seven years, contributing to government changes and creating difficulties for war heroes without solid evidence.
He said that after a one-and-a-half-year investigation, his team compiled a research book titled “Searching for the Mastermind of the Easter Attack.” The book will be officially launched at the at 3:30 PM on March 31.
Gammanpila expressed hope that the findings presented in the book will help end speculation and misinformation surrounding the tragedy and provide answers that will allow the country to move forward.
