A fuel shipment carrying 35,000 metric tons is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow, according to the Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, D. A. Rajakaruna.

He stated that the vessel contains both petrol and diesel, which are expected to help maintain fuel supplies in the country.

In addition, three more fuel vessels are scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka within this month. The corporation noted that sufficient fuel stocks have been ordered to meet the country’s demand until the end of April.

Minister Rajakaruna further explained that the fuel shipments will be purchased based on the market prices at the time they are unloaded.

He also added that all the relevant fuel vessels are arriving from India and Singapore.
