According to the board, the water cut will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 midnight.
During this period, water supply will be suspended in all areas within the Negombo Municipal Council limits and in areas under the Katana Pradeshiya Sabha. The interruption will also affect the Aeththawala, Jankuruwela, Kaluwarippuwa, Miriswatta, Kongodamulla, Halpe, Andiymulla, Ambalayaya, Thoppuwa, and Waikkal Grama Niladhari divisions.
The water supply disruption is due to maintenance work at the Bambukuliya Water Treatment Plant.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and requested the public to use water sparingly during this period. 💧
