A total of 541 appointment letters were handed over to new recruits today (10) at the Public Auditorium of Temple Trees under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, with the participation of Transport, Highways and Urban Development Minister Bimal Rathnayake.
According to authorities, the new appointees will be attached to transport services provided by 107 SLTB depots located throughout the country.
Officials stated that, based on their service efficiency and performance, steps will be taken to integrate the recruits into permanent service in the future.
The recruitment programme forms part of the government’s broader effort to improve the reliability and management of the country’s public transport system.
