A total of 13 trainees who successfully completed the two-year Dental Technician training programme were granted appointments. In addition, four trainees who completed the three-year Prosthetics and Orthotics training programme under the paramedical services were also awarded appointment letters. These four were among six trainees initially recruited for the programme.
The new appointments will take effect from March 16, and the Ministry of Health and Mass Media stated that the professionals will be deployed to government hospitals and health institutions across the country based on service requirements.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Health Hansaka Wijemuni, Ministry Secretary Anil Jasinghe, Additional Secretary Chamika Gamage, Deputy Director General Sisira Kumara, Director Ishani Kollure, and several other officials.
