She emphasized the importance of remaining calm, acting responsibly, and immediately moving to safe locations whenever official warnings are issued.
Ambassador Khan also advised all Sri Lankans to strictly follow the safety guidelines and regulations issued by Qatar’s Ministry of Interior. She warned the community to avoid gathering in crowded or open areas due to the potential risk of falling debris or fragments.
Highlighting the importance of responsible communication, the ambassador stressed that spreading rumors or sharing unverified information could negatively affect public safety and social stability. She urged the community to rely only on official news sources for accurate updates.
Furthermore, she noted that the Government of Qatar remains fully committed to ensuring the safety of all residents and continues to provide essential supplies and healthcare services without disruption.
