According to the notice, individuals seeking a police clearance report can apply through the e-service facility available on the official Sri Lanka Police website by accessing the Clearance Certificates section.
Applicants can visit the online portal at the police website and complete the relevant application to obtain the certificate required for various official purposes.
For applicants residing overseas, a fee of Rs. 5,100 will be charged for the issuance of the clearance report. The certificate will be issued within 14 days after the relevant payment receipt is received, police said.
Individuals living abroad may submit their applications either through the online system or via the Sri Lankan diplomatic missions in their respective countries.
Applicants are required to provide details including the relevant police division, telephone number and email address when submitting their application.
Police also said that if any amendments are required after submitting the application, the Police Clearance Division must be notified within 72 hours.
