However, the Deputy Minister noted that all four individuals have received medical treatment and have since been discharged from hospital.
He said the government of Sri Lanka is currently prioritizing the safety of Sri Lankans living in the Middle East and that the situation is being closely monitored through diplomatic missions in the region.
Meanwhile, military tensions involving Iran with Israel and the United States continue to escalate across the Middle East.
Although Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Iran will not launch further attacks on neighbouring Middle Eastern countries and has apologized for earlier strikes, foreign media reports say Iranian forces are still carrying out attacks in several countries in the region.
According to those reports, strikes have targeted countries including Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
