Issuing a statement, the Ministry said such claims are incorrect and clarified that operations at the power plant will continue as usual.
According to the statement, 22 out of the 36 coal shipments ordered for the plant have already been unloaded. The supplier has also assured that the remaining shipments will be delivered without interruption.
The Ministry further noted that preliminary steps have been taken to arrange emergency coal supplies if required and that sufficient fuel oil stocks are available for power generation until the end of April.
The Ministry of Energy also urged the public not to be misled by false or misleading reports regarding possible power cuts.
