The arrests were made yesterday (6) by the Western Province South Crime Division.
According to police investigations, the two suspects are accused of transporting one of the gunmen to the Monaragala area by bus following the crime.
The suspects are aged 39 and 53 and are residents of Ibbagamuwa and Makola.
Investigations have revealed that one of the suspects transported the gunman using a bus that had been purchased with money provided by an organized criminal gang member who is currently overseas.
The bus used for the transport has also been taken into custody by investigating officers.
