The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has issued a clarification stating that none of its employees were involved in an assault shown in a video currently circulating in some media outlets.
In a statement, CEB Deputy General Manager (Business and Operations Strategy) Noel Priyantha said the video clip depicts a group of individuals assaulting a person and had been shared by certain media with claims that those involved were employees of the CEB.
However, he stressed that the individuals seen in the footage are not employees of the electricity board.
