Cabinet Spokesman Minister Nalinda Jayatissa said that necessary measures will be taken in the near future to meet the expectations of cricket enthusiasts in Sri Lanka.

Addressing the post-Cabinet media briefing today, Minister Jayatissa said that changes in law, administration, and other related areas will be introduced to strengthen the country’s cricket framework.

“You love cricket, I love cricket, a majority of our citizens love cricket, even the President loves cricket. Steps will be taken in the future to make changes in the sport of cricket, fulfilling the expectations of the people,” he added.

The Minister emphasized that the government recognizes the deep passion Sri Lankans have for cricket and is committed to implementing reforms aimed at improving governance, transparency, and performance within the sport.
