The arrest was made by the Colombo Crimes Division following a tip-off received by investigating officers. The suspect, identified as the alleged gunman, was taken into custody yesterday (03) in the Grandpass police area.
During the arrest, officers recovered 11 grams and 830 milligrams of “Ice” narcotics in the suspect’s possession.
The 24-year-old suspect is a resident of Colombo 13. Further investigations are being carried out by the Colombo Crimes Division.
