FitsAir has resumed scheduled flights between Colombo and Dubai, becoming the first Sri Lankan carrier to restore the route amid ongoing airspace disruptions in the Middle East.

The airline confirmed that flights 8D 821 and 8D 822 are now operating as scheduled, at a time when several regional carriers have temporarily suspended services due to airspace closures linked to the conflict in the region.

The resumption provides a critical travel option for passengers requiring urgent connectivity, including those travelling for work, family reunions or other essential commitments.

In a statement, FitsAir said it remains committed to ensuring passenger safety and punctual operations despite the evolving regional situation. The airline assured travellers of a smooth and reliable service while closely monitoring developments affecting Middle Eastern airspace.

Passengers have been advised to check updated travel information and secure bookings through the airline’s official website as conditions in the region continue to change.
