He said several correspondents have not received payments from their respective media organisations in recent times, raising concerns over delays in remuneration.
This marks the second occasion that the issue of journalists’ salaries has been raised in the House.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Mass Media Kaushalya Ariyaratne said that media institutions had been advised to ensure salaries are paid to employees on time.
