The accident occurred when a bus transporting garment factory workers collided with another bus and a tractor that was carrying a paddy harvesting machine.
According to police, ten individualsincluding seven passengers travelling on the busessustained injuries in the collision. The injured were admitted to the Habarana and Polonnaruwa hospitals for treatment.
One of the injured victims was reported to be in critical condition and was subsequently transferred to the Dambulla Hospital for further medical care.
