Sri Lanka Parliament to convene at 9.30 a.m. today

The Parliament of Sri Lanka is scheduled to convene at 9.30 a.m. today (03), with a full day of legislative business planned.

According to the official agenda, the time from 9.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. has been allocated for parliamentary business stipulated under Standing Orders 22(1) to 22(6).

From 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m., the session will be dedicated to Questions for Oral Answers. This will be followed by questions raised under Standing Order 27(2), scheduled from 11.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.

Subsequently, from 11.30 a.m. until 5.00 p.m., Parliament is set to debate regulations issued under the Foreign Exchange Act, as published in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2467/67.

The sitting will conclude with an adjournment debate motion brought forward by the Opposition, which is slated to take place from 5.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
