In a special notice, the Embassy requested Sri Lankans staying in the region for employment and other purposes to refrain from non-essential travel and large gatherings. They have been advised to remain at their homes or workplaces and to exercise heightened vigilance.

The Embassy further emphasized the importance of strictly adhering to security guidelines issued by local authorities. Sri Lankan nationals were also encouraged to closely follow safety instructions released by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Sri Lankan diplomatic mission.

The appeal was made after taking into consideration the prevailing conditions in the Middle East region.

The Embassy stated that its operations continue as normal and that further updates regarding the evolving security situation will be communicated as necessary.
