Issuing a statement, the Ministry said it remains in close coordination with Sri Lankan diplomatic missions across the region. Heads of missions are maintaining constant communication with authorities in Colombo to ensure the safety and well-being of Sri Lankan nationals.
As a precautionary measure, Sri Lankan missions have established emergency hotlines to assist nationals requiring urgent support. In addition, a central emergency hotline is expected to be launched shortly to further strengthen response mechanisms.
The Ministry assured that it will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide necessary assistance if circumstances change.
