The government is intervening to the maximum extent to curb crime, Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa stated.

He emphasized that the public must have confidence in the law and assured that necessary measures are being implemented to strengthen law enforcement and maintain public safety.

The Minister made these remarks while attending the ceremony to declare open a long-awaited permanent post office building in Balapitiya, addressing a key infrastructure shortcoming in the town.

A sum of Rs. 12 million had been allocated for the construction of the project. Several public representatives and invitees were present at the event.

During his address, the Minister further elaborated on the government’s ongoing program aimed at preventing crime and ensuring the rule of law across the country.
