Salintha, who is under the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), was produced before Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (27) in connection with the Ganemulla Sanjeewa murder case. The court appearance was conducted under tight security arrangements due to the high-profile nature of the suspect.
CID officers, who have been leading the investigations, submitted a detailed progress report on the case to the Magistrate. After reviewing the information presented, the court ordered Salintha to be remanded until the 12th of next month, pending further investigation.
