The unit was officially launched today (26) at the Modara Police Station under the patronage of Senior Superintendent of Police Eric Perera.
Operating 24 hours a day with the participation of armed police officers, the motorcycle unit is expected to respond swiftly to any criminal activity. It will be deployed immediately to set up roadblocks and assist in rapid response operations whenever necessary.
Police officials stated that the initiative aims to strengthen law enforcement efforts and enhance public safety across the Colombo North area.
