Police seek public assistance to arrest suspect in shooting in Kalutara

The Sri Lanka Police have requested public assistance to apprehend a suspect believed to be involved in a fatal shooting that took place earlier this month within the Kalutara North Police Division.

According to police, investigations were launched into a shooting incident that occurred on February 14. Preliminary inquiries have revealed that two unidentified individuals arrived at the scene on a motorcycle and opened fire using a firearm.

As a result of the shooting, one person lost his life.

Investigations are currently being carried out by the Kalutara North Police along with the Kalutara Divisional Criminal Investigation Unit to identify and arrest those responsible for the murder.

Based on investigations conducted so far, police have released details of one suspect believed to be connected to the incident. The suspect is described as a dark-complexioned male, approximately 27 years old.
