The committee has been tasked with reviewing the existing coal procurement and supply process and providing recommendations to ensure efficiency, transparency, and sustainability.

Dr. Geethal Siriwardhana (Member) – Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura
K.L.R.C. Wijesinghe (Convener) – Additional Secretary (Power and Power Sector Reforms Division), Ministry of Energy
The committee is expected to submit its findings following a comprehensive assessment of the current coal supply mechanism to the Lakvijaya Power Plant.
