The crossing, situated at Mile 35, Chain 30, between Puwakpitiya and Avissawella on the High Level Line, will experience a combination of partial and temporary complete closures over the four-day period.
Partial closures are scheduled for March 5 and 6 from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. On March 7 and 8, the crossing will remain partially closed during the same hours, with additional complete closures for half-hour intervals between 9.00 a.m. and 1.30 p.m.
Railway officials said the maintenance work is essential to ensure the safety and smooth operation of rail services. They also requested media institutions to inform the public in advance to help minimize traffic congestion
